April holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education with a major in Mathematics from Eastern Vasaya State University, Tacloban City, Philippines. Her favorite experience from school was when she did her practice teaching for six months and realized what a rewarding experience it was to be a teacher.
She is a licenced teacher with experience in Mathematics and English. Also, April earned her TESOL certificate in 2014 and her teaching experience spans the Philippines, Vietnam, and now Thailand.
Benjamin has a Bachelor's Degree with Honors in Comprehensive Physics from the University of Washington in Seattle. He has been teaching in Thailand since he completed his TESOL certificate in 2016.
His most memorable experience at the University of Washington was a 1-year contract with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. During his contract, he was able to spend two months performing research and experiments at sea in the Gulf of Alaska and the Bering Sea.
Benjamin chose to study Physics because of the beauty he finds in being able to describe the natural world with what are often simple, yet elegant equations.
Cassie has a Bachelor's Degree in History and Religious studies from the University of Lethbridge in Alberta, Canada. She also completed her educational prerequisite practicum which included 320 hours of supervised teaching in a Canadian classroom.
Since high school, Cassies has been involved in teaching. She did student teaching in high school and followed that up with volunteer teaching all the way up to university. Adding to this experience, she has also coached swimming and basketball from the age of 14.
For Cassie, Social Studies and Global Perspectives is all about student-directed learning and developing critical thinking skills in students allowing them to have a well-rounded approach to understanding the world around them.
Chris has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the State University of New York and a Master's Degree in ExoBiology from the City University of New York. His favorite experience from graduate school was doing a water quality study of the Hudson River aboard a research vessel and visiting an exoplanet where he studied and cataloged the various life forms.
Chris has been in industry as well as academia, having worked as Assistant Head of Scientific Affairs at a laboratory in New York that manufactured sterile allergenic extracts sold to doctors and hospitals across America.
He's worked mostly in international schools in Thailand, but also in Kuwait, China, and America teaching university-level Biology, IB DP Physics, A-Level Physics and Chemistry, and IGCSE Science and Mathematics as classroom teacher as well as Head of Science Department. His educational specialty is working across cognitive and affective domains operationalizing learning-intensive schemas.
Devi has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Applications from the Bangalore University in India. In addition to her degree, she has earned a certificate in Front-end Web Development. Being part of the project "Enabling a Society Empowering a nation" was the most memoriable teaching experience for Devi, which took her to different parts of her home country, Bhutan and help kids learn computing.
She had been teaching Computer and Information Technology in two schools around Bhutan for five years, which made her love to teach.
Jeffrey has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Bukidnon State University, Philippiines. In addition to his degree, he has his teaching certification, and TOEIC and IELTS certifications. Jeffrey's best experience from university was doing his student teaching - it made him more organized, more sensitive to people around him, and most of all, it made him realize that he was born to teach.
Jeffrey has experience teaching Chemistry and Environmental Science at St. James School of Science and Technology and has been teaching science at Satree Phuket School since 2014.
Matt has a Master's Degree in Economics with a specialty in economic policy and enterprise strategy. He earned TEFL and TESOL certificates in 2013 and has been teaching in Thailand since then.
His most memorable experience in University was completing an internship in Nordea Bank, part of the largest financial services group in the Nordic and Baltic region, where he was awarded a job and continued to work with them for four years while simultaneously completing his degree.
He likes Business and Enterprise because they develop not only subject knowledge but also creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
Mike has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Neumann University, and earned his Master's Degree in Education from Penn State University with a specialization in curriculum design and development. A native English speaker, Mike received his TESOL certificate in 2014 after successfully completing an international program which started in Cambodia and concluded in Vietnam.
Mike’s most memorable experience while in graduate school was a 3-month internship with NASA Langley Research Center in Virginia. During that time, he designed and implemented a video-based pilot program to show young learners how science, mathematics and engineering relate to the world around them. The program was so successful that NASA decided to move forward with the program, and episodes were broadcast to schools across five different states on the east coast of the USA.
With two decades of experience in the learning sciences field, Mike has traveled the world supporting adult education programs at industry-leading companies such as Microsoft and Boeing. In addition to teaching IGCSE English and IGCSE Travel & Tourism, he consults on select corporate learning projects, runs an educational travel blog and currently sits on the Advisory Board for the University of Washington’s E-Learning Design & Development Certificate Program in Seattle, Washington.
Ronnel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mindanao in Davao City, Philippines. He has both industrial and academic work experiences and used to work at Pepsi-Cola prior to dedicating his career to teaching.
He has taught Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics at the university-level and his teaching experience there was so enlightening, that he decided to he wanted to teach and mold young minds simply because he feels they are the ones who need both objective and subjective knowledge.
Samantha has a Bachelor’s Degree in English with a minor in General Education from Boston College and a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from Boston College. In addition to her degree, she has earned her Teaching English Language Learners (TELL) certification and Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) endorsement. While completing her Master’s Degree program, Samantha completed her full practicum teaching English Language Arts at Boston Latin School, which is ranked among the top 100 high schools in the United States.
One of Samantha’s most memorable teaching experiences was volunteering as a teacher’s assistant in a kindergarten classroom in Sydney, Australia during her junior year of college. This instilled in her a love of teaching and working with kids that still inspires her each day.
Thatsiree has a Bachelor of Education degree in Thai language from Songkhla Rajabhat University as well as a Master of Art degree in Thai language from Naresuan University.
She has a wealth of high school teaching experience Thai language, having begun her career in 1988. Thatsiree has been at Satree Phuket school since 2010.
Tony acquired his Bachelor's of Art Degree in Multimedia and Graphic Design from Champlain College, Vermont, USA. Tony's favorite experiences from university were the scholorships he won for exceptional design solutions and creating works of art that remain on permanent display at the Champlain College campus.
Tony operated his own design business, Twill Designs LLC, for five years and began teaching Art and Design at an American Middle School in 2011. He has been teaching at Satree Phuket since 2013.
