Satree Phuket's Cambridge Program will head north to Chiang Rai on Tuesday, 07 February 2017, for this year's Outside Classroom Learning program. Formally known as Week Without Walls, this event features several full days of learning activities that students will remember for years to come.
After traveling to Chiang Rai and getting settled in, we will spend a day at one of Satree Phuket's sister HUB schools, Maesaiprasitsart School, where we'll take part in morning activities and do a bit of information sharing. In the afternoon and evening, students will learn how to make traditional Northern Thailand handicrafts and participate in a talent show.
In the days that follow students will make paper crafts, visit a tea plantation, learn about Hill Tribe embroidery, paint pottery and even do a bit of Northern Thai cooking and dessert making. A trip to Chiang Rai would not be complete without a visit to Wat Rong Khun, so before heading back to Phuket we will visit the White Temple and enjoy lunch there.
Over the course of the trip students will be required to keep a daily journal to reflect on what they learned that day, and they will also work in designated teams to create a presentation about a specific part of the adventures in Chiang Rai.
